these are some of the phrases commonly used to describe Wendy, Principal of Chapter One Asia Sdn. Bhd.
Wendy Lee founded Chapter One Asia to help men and women define and refine their image and style through wardrobe, communication, and etiquette and protocol skills. Under the mentorship of Ann Reinten of ‘The Australian Image Company’ and Pat Vincent Scott of ‘The Colourflair Studios, UK’, Wendy subsequently became one of the few internationally trained and qualified image consultants in Malaysia.
Prior to her transition into the image consultancy industry, Wendy was instrumental in developing and promoting the pharmaceutical markets for Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and The Philippines. Having majored in Chemistry along with her wealth of experience in strategic marketing, Wendy has achieved various successes in establishing a niche edge in the biotechnology industry.
Through her affiliation with The Association of Image Consultants (AICI), The Federation of Image Consultants (TFIC) and The Association of Colourflair Consultants (MACC) Wendy has also successfully completed her Train-The-Trainer Certification with HRD Berhad (Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad), hence being the exclusive qualified Image Consultant in Malaysia. Subsequently in 2004, Wendy was awarded the Asian Image Consultant of the Year by The Australian Image Company.
In addition to being a regular guest on various radio and TV shows, Wendy has also been featured in The New Straits Times, The Star, Sin Chew Jit Poh – Malaysia’s leading newspapers. Wendy is a also a regular columnist with CloveTwo – www.clovetwo.com, an online portal for women by The Star. Starting 2010, Wendy has her own column with The Star’s Clove Section called Miss Behave – featuring Q&A of Image and Etiquette in the 21st century.
To date, Wendy has trained more than 60,000 individuals in corporations, large and small. Upon completion of her Degree in Electrical Engineering, Debby started her career as an Engineer in Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB). Whilst performing her duties in handling machinery, she then realized that her passion is more towards managing people. She decided to switch her career towards Sales and Marketing by joining Proton Edar Sdn Bhd. She managed the sales performance of 10 Proton dealers in Klang area. During this period, she met with people from all walks of life and had polished her engagement and interaction skills. Driven by her passion, she performed her tasks successfully despite coming from a very different educational background.
Debby was then offered to join an established IT company (Mesiniaga Berhad) as one of the key account managers, to handle the public sector (education) clients. Her biggest project was with the Malaysian Examination Syndicate (worth RM 24 million). She also ran various projects with her other key clients namely the Ministry of Education, Multimedia University, Malaya University, National Defence University of Malaysia and many more. In 2012, she was then offered by Pernec IT to be the key account manager for GLC clients. Her main clients were Maybank Berhad, SSM and Telekom.
Always challenging herself to be out of her comfort zone, she then decided to move into the agriculture industry. She was offered by CCM Berhad as the Fertilizer’s Head of Marketing. She is responsible for fertilizer marketing plans and strategies for Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. Not long after that she was offered by Green Wall Sdn Bhd as the Business Development Head. Her hard work and dedication in capturing deal after deal made her an asset to the company. She was then promoted to Chief Operation Officer (COO). It was during her tenure in this company that she had completed her Master’s in Business Administration.
After more than a decade climbing the corporate ladder in high rank organizations, Debby got certified as a Certified BrandImage Professional after realizing the gap between supply and demand of resources required in most of the industries. Building a brand identity and corporate image is an inseparable part of a long-term business strategy in the 21st century. Her exposure in dealing various levels of people throughout her career makes her realize that an image projection is as equally important as your education background and experience.

Michelle Tan’s exposure in dealing with various levels of people from the corporate sector during her years in banking industry, has further confirmed her strong belief in the presentation of one’s image where appearance is equally as important as performing your duties effectively.
With the right attire, it can have an effect on how people perceive you professionally. Her emphasize on her look had such an effect on the people around her that she was often sought by her colleagues and subordinates for advice on the proper types of clothes and her grooming skills.
Michelle received a degree in IT with honours from University Utara Malaysia and has a Certificate in Image Consulting from Chapter One’s BrandImage International Institute.
She has contributed articles and columns on image projection in magazine for college students and has given talks to university students on branding their image professionally to prepare them for future endeavours in the corporate world. She also facilitates image branding and training for corporate clients.
HANIM ABDUL RAHMAN
Training Consultant
Hanim is a certified trainer by Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad (PSMB) and is also a graduate in Public Relations. She has conducted to date programs in Body Language, Personality Traits, Customer Service, Self Awareness and corporate communications for both Corporate and Government sectors.
With the backup of 20 years being in the field encompassing the hospitality industry, training and event management, she has also facilitated in Leadership and Team Building programs since 1995. Hanim has facilitated more than 10,000 employees across the board ranging from Finance, Hospitality, Manufacturing, IT, Transportation, Pharmacies, Retailers and colleges. She is also the advisor for Penang Hospitality & Tourism Apprentice Association and has been a guest speaker on numerous events organized by the Association, some of which was in collaboration with Tourism Malaysia, Penang.
Mega projects under her belt includes organizing fashion show for Jazz Festival 2006, Formula Future National Championship 2005, Pesta Air 2005 (in collaboration with Kementerian Kebudayaan & Sukan) and Fiesta F1 Powerboat World Championship 2004 to name a few.
She is also actively involved in voluntary projects particularly concerning the visually impaired (the blind) & have conducted trainings specially designed for them.
She considered herself to be lucky in having the opportunity to be mentored by world renowned speakers like T. Harv Eker (Millionaire Mind Intensive, Business Guerilla Intensive), Robert Riopel & John Kehoe (Master Your Mind), Gerry Robert (Publish A Book & Grow Rich), Andy Harrington (Public Speakers University), Peng Joon (Internet Income Intensive) and Tony Buzan (Mind Map). All these wealth of knowledge is being imparted and shared with her audience during her sessions.
Hanim is now pursuing her Masters majoring in Psychology with Asia e University (AeU). She believes learning and gaining knowledge should be fun and it is well reflected in her high energy training sessions.

She graduated from the London Academy of Media Film & TV, London (Hair Styling) and Starz Images Academy in Kuala Lumpur, she became a make-up artist and fashion consultant at the age of 19 – a dream which came full-circle as she has always been very passionate in keeping up with new trends in the make-up and fashion industry.
Since then, she has worked with celebrities like Chermaine Poo, Carmen Soo, Amber Chia, Azure and Daphne Iking. Her work has been featured on many popular magazines such as Her World, My Wedding, New Tide…On the advertising market, her work can be seen on TV commercials both locally and internationally, and sometimes you might catch her at fashion catwalk events across the country.
Her make-up technique emphasizes the natural beauty of a person by blending in the least make-up possible to create a totally natural and easy going look. As such, she is currently very much sought after for bridal photoshoot and wedding event make-ups.
